GHRP-6
A first-generation GHRP with very strong appetite-stimulating effects, often used in older bulking protocols.
Overview
GHRP-6 was one of the first synthetic ghrelin agonists. It produces solid GH release but is most known for its powerful effect on hunger, which is more pronounced than with GHRP-2 or newer-generation peptides.
Benefits
- Increases GH release
- Very strong appetite effects (useful when bulking)
- May support recovery and lean tissue
Mechanism of Action
Activates ghrelin/GHS-R receptors in the pituitary and hypothalamus to trigger GH release alongside intense hunger signaling.
Dosage (informational only)
- Typical range
- 100–200 mcg per dose
- Frequency
- 2–3x daily
Hunger effects are dose-dependent and often the limiting factor for users.
Side Effects
- Strong hunger response
- Cortisol and prolactin elevation
- Water retention
- Receptor desensitization with chronic use
