Follistatin 344
A myostatin-binding protein studied for its potential to drive significant muscle hypertrophy by removing the body's natural growth ceiling.
Overview
Follistatin 344 is a circulating form of follistatin that binds and neutralizes myostatin — the protein that normally limits muscle growth. Animal studies have shown dramatic hypertrophy from myostatin inhibition, making this one of the most discussed (and controversial) peptides in performance research.
Benefits
- Inhibits myostatin to remove the muscle-growth ceiling
- May significantly increase lean mass
- Studied for muscular dystrophy applications
- Effects appear durable beyond dosing window
Mechanism of Action
Follistatin 344 binds and neutralizes myostatin (GDF-8) and related TGF-β family members, removing the brake on muscle satellite cell proliferation and differentiation.
Dosage (informational only)
- Typical range
- 100–300 mcg per day
- Frequency
- Daily for short cycles
Limited human safety data. Rapid hypertrophy may stress connective tissue.
Side Effects
- Possible tendon strain from rapid hypertrophy
- Limited long-term human data
- Potential off-target TGF-β effects
